  • Payment Safety: Avoid sending money via Mobile Money (M-Pesa/MTN) before seeing the product.

For Sellers

  • Verify Payment: Confirm receipt of funds in your own account/app before releasing the item.
  • Beware of Fake Alerts: Scammers often send fake SMS alerts. Always check your actual balance.
  • Personal Info: Never share your OTP, PIN, or bank login details with anyone.

Common Scams to Avoid

The "Urgent" Deposit: A seller asks for a "commitment fee" to hold an item because many people want it. Once you pay, they disappear.
Overpayment Scam: A buyer sends a fake payment screenshot for more than the price and asks you to "refund" the difference.
The Job Scam: Someone offers a job but asks you to pay for "registration" or "uniforms" first. Real jobs never ask for money.
